The greater Orlando area was a rather small metropolitan area in the early 1970's until the Disney corporation started quietly buying up vast parcels of land under various corporate entities to keep away land speculators with their secret plans to build a more expansive theme park destination than what Walt Disney had dreamed of and built in southern California. Today this area is known as the Walt Disney World complex of theme parks- the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and the various Disney water parks and attractions.

This development attracted all the other assorted theme parks, restaurants, hotels, convention centers, shopping malls and other residential communities and commercial property developments which lead to the traffic jams and congested vehicular traffic and gridlock that affects our roads today and especially I-4 ( Interstate 4 ) during the early morning and late afternoon rush hours. I-4 is the major interstate highway that cuts across the central part of Florida from the west end in Tampa through downtown Orlando until it terminates on the east coast in Daytona.

With the explosive population growth and the corresponding increase in vehicular traffic in the greater Orlando area in the last 35 years it is not surprising that I-4 is one of the most dangerous and treacherous roads to try to safely navigate especially during rush hour traffic as any local driver can attest to. Numerous motor vehicle accidents on I-4 have caused major traffic jams and traffic backups for miles and miles. With our frequent and notorious lightning and thunderstorms in Florida, which greatly reduces drivers sight lines and visibility, traffic jams are created as drivers slow down to a snails pace. Though the government has tried to improve the traffic flow and road conditions on the I-4 corridor by expanding the number of traffic lanes and building new interstate exchanges the traffic volume has outpaced the limited expansion of new road construction on I-4.

If you have been injured by an at fault motor vehicle driver on I-4, please call The Nuebel Law Firm today at 407-703-5999 so that we may help and assist you.
